How bad was your gallbladder post-surgical pain?

I had gallbladder surgery done lapriscopically on Monday this week. Every time I stand up, I feel like my bellybutton is going to open up and spill my guts. Also, the CO2 in my right shoulder makes it impossible to breath at times. On a scale of 1 to 10 my pain is up around 7 or 8. Everyone I talked to prior to surgery that had had this procedure done said they were up and feeling great 3 days later. I’m supposed to return to work on Thursday, but I know I won’t be able to. The other problem I am having is, my throat is torn up from the oxygen that they had me on, and I really need to cough, but I can’t get productive coughs, because it hurts so bad to cough. I’m taking my Lortab every 4 hours as prescribed, but it is barely even cutting the pain. Can others share the truth about their post surgical pain with me?
